The operation had been a relative success, and now the body of young Vair (the fourteenth) was infested with six million and twenty parasites. Successfully.

There were three of them in the hospital room, gathered around the teen with the parasites crawling through his blood. The scientist who had arranged this whole thing was there too, rather pleased with the success of it all.

"This was a wonderful success," he said, stating the obvious but saying it with such flavor, one might almost forget.

Vair didn't think it was so wonderful or successful, mostly because the parasites broke a few of his fingers, but his opinion didn't really matter here.

My name is Vair. I am seventeen years old.

I'm infected with a couple million parasites.

I told them not to eat anyone here. I hope they listen! If not, I'm really really sorry.
